The Structure of Bulletproof Vests

First layer: Inner lining

The inner lining is a layer of material inside the second bulletproof vest. Generally made of Oxford cloth or polyester fiber cloth, with a soft texture, providing wearers with a comfortable touch and a space for easy movement. Its main function is to provide bottom support for the protective material behind it, and it can absorb the vibration force of shoulders and chest, reducing the impact force on the body.

Second layer: bulletproof material.

The Structure of Bulletproof Vests

The bulletproof material is the core part of the second bulletproof vest. It is different from the lining, using high-tech materials. Common bulletproof materials include high-performance polyethylene fiber composite materials, ceramic composite materials, pure steel plates, polymer plastics, etc. These materials have characteristics such as high strength, toughness, and hardness, which can effectively prevent the penetration and damage of high-speed bullets or sharp objects.

Third layer: Removable pad

The position of the detachable pad in the second bulletproof vest is related to the vest. It is a piece of material similar to sponge or foam, which is used to fill the gap between the waist and shoulder to make the bulletproof coat more fit the body. Padding makes the wearer more comfortable and avoids unnecessary injuries. Meanwhile, this pad can also be replaced and cleaned according to the wearer's needs.

Fourth layer: Outer cover

The outer cover is the outermost layer of the second bulletproof vest, which has functions such as waterproofing and anti hooking. Commonly used materials include high toughness and good waterproof properties such as nylon and polyester. The function of the outer cover is to protect the four layer structure inside the second bulletproof vest, and it can also give special tactical functions such as color and logo to the appearance of the second bulletproof vest.
