Comply with Volkswagen VW508.00/509.00 It is recommended to use 0W-20 viscosity grade Volkswagen, Porsche and other European luxury brand vehicles, as well as normally aspirated, GDI or TGDI American Japanese and Korean luxury brand vehicles.

Ester Synthetic Oil

Ester oil is a high-end synthetic lubricant, developed by the Germans in order to solve the problem of tank locomotives starting in the cold winter during World War II, and later widely used in aviation, aerospace and other fields, and gradually transferred to the automotive industry. Ester base oils are produced by catalytic dehydration of organic acids and alcohols, and are commonly used as double esters, polyols and complex esters.

FLYSAK "Blue Oil 0W-20" - a synthetic ester oil with outstanding performance

1. Non-ordinary ester synthetic oil

The ester synthetic oil contains various oxygen atoms such as carbonyl oxygen and alcohol oxygen, which makes the ester synthetic oil different from the common mineral oil functional group and has polarity. The base oils of the three types of synthetic oils and PAO synthetic oils do not contain this group, which is the biggest difference between lipid synthetic oils and ordinary synthetic oils.

Active adsorption oil film and passive adhesion oil film During the lubrication process, the formation of a thick oil film between the lubricating oil friction is very important for the lubrication effect, and the compounds containing polar groups are more likely to adsorb on the friction interface to form an effective ductile oil film.

With the same function, non-polar synthetic oil is achieved by adding additives. It mainly relies on a certain viscosity to adhere to the friction interface, and this adhesion gradually falls off under the action of gravity when the engine stops working, and the oil film becomes very fragile. The oil film produced by chemical polarity adsorption can be maintained for a long time after engine shutdown, providing uninterrupted lubrication for the engine.

2. Advantages of ester synthetic oil

â‘  Good thermal stability

From the point of view of thermal decomposition temperature alone, the double ester oil is generally about 280 degrees, and the alcohol ester exceeds 300 degrees. This is related to its molecular structure. The fully inhibited ester obtained from the esterification of neopentyl polyols has a higher decomposition temperature.

â‘¡ Easy to absorb and stable oil film

The polar structure gives the ester oil special lubrication performance, easy to adsorb on the interface to form a stable oil film, even if the cold state will not be completely reflux, providing good low temperature protection.

For example, compared with mineral oil lubricants, the polar functional group of the ester base is like the suction cup of a gecko at the interface of the friction pair, and it is not easy to fall off even at low temperature.

â‘¢ Strong sensitivity to additives

It can be well integrated and coordinated with antioxidant, anti-wear and other additives.

3. The deficiency of ester synthetic oil

The biggest disadvantage of ester oils is their hydrolytic stability and material compatibility. Because it contains polar groups, the ester oil is easy to absorb moisture (remember to tighten the lid when you use the rest). The stability of polyester on pure water is quite good, and it is unstable in acid and alkali environment. Because the oil contains many additives containing phosphorus and sulfur, and there will be fine metal particles worn down during the working process, the additives will produce acidic substances under the metal catalysis, which further catalyzes the hydrolysis of esters. Ester on some structure of rubber products will have obvious swelling, is also one of its disadvantages. However, these shortcomings are mitigated by appropriate modified additives.

Ester synthetic oil, with its excellent performance has become the new darling of the current high-end lubricating oil market. FLYSAK "Advanced ester fully synthetic oil/Blue oil 0W-20", meet the national six standards, fuel saving, ultra-low ash, recommend the use of 0W-20 viscosity grade Volkswagen, Porsche and other European luxury brand vehicles, as well as naturally aspirated, GDI or TGDI luxury brand vehicles, Bring extraordinary driving performance to your car!
